Rad Reading-October

This month I read the book called MAN-EATER by Justin D’ath. This story is about a 14 year old journalist exploring Africa. He was on a bus to Africa when they made their stop to explore the wilderness, he had to use the restroom and they left without him. After awhile by himself, a snake sneaked up on him and sprayed venom in his right eye. Awhile later hyenas see him and start chasing after him forcing him to cross a river full of hippos and crocodiles. He barely makes it alive with his right eye puffed up aching, blurry, and barely able to see out of. Then people save him and they healed his right eye. They then walk to the nearest village for help when a leopard starts chasing them and they climb up a tree and cross a valley. Then the leopard looses track of them and they see a car and they try to find out how to start the car, and they look for the keys. Finally, they find the keys and drive off and see a road and follow it to a valley for safety.

I recommend reading this book because it’s about adventure and having to survive a week in Africa without any water, food, shelter, or medical help. Also, the book can help you know what to do if your stranded in Africa.

My favorite character is Sam. This is because he is a great leader. He also is great at problem solving so it would be great if i was stranded with him. One of his character traits would be brave. A quote that proves this is “It was either I got chased and died by hyenas and elephants, or it was that I would cross the river full of hungry hippos and crocodiles” “I decided to cross the river, even if it meant I could get swallowed whole by a crocodile or a hippo.”-(Pg:34). This quote proves Sam is brave because he is crossing a river full of hungry animals that could swallow him whole. For this reason, Sam is full of bravery and my favorite character.

My favorite quote from the MAN-EATER is, “I would never give up, even if it meant I’d suffer during it.”-(Pg:45). “I wouldn’t still be alive if I had given up.”-(Pg:52). This is my favorite quote because it inspires me to be brave even if it’s challenging or taking a risk because it could end up being a better result/being better in the long run. For this reason, this is my favorite quote because it inspires me to do hard things.

The Rocks Fantastic Life!

I would trade places with Dwayne The Rock Johnson for one day. This is because he is very strong and very popular and I would love to know how he lives as a celebrity. I would also write a check of 50 million dollars to my family so my family can go on a trip to see my aunt in San Francisco, see my aunt in Oregon, and see my grandparents in Arizona. Finally, I would trade places with the Rock (Dwayne Johnson) for one day because I want to experience driving a car and being an adult. I wouldn’t want to trade places with Dwayne Johnson for more than a day because I would miss my family too much. As you can see, experiencing Dwayne Johnsons life for one day would be so fun and exciting to try.

My Perfect Marvelous Day

My perfect day would be waking up and my dad would have won the lottery for 100 billion dollars, and me and my friends Dean, Luke, Evan, Logan, and Gavin are going to the beach at 9 Am and stopped at McDonald’s on the way. I got a hash brown, a water, and a ham cheese and egg sandwich. I brought a football, sunscreen, a volleyball, a boogie board, a towel, a water bottle, chips, 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and some candy. After we left the beach at 3 Pm, we went to Lucille’s for lunch and dinner combo. I got a full rack of ribs with a cherly temple and for dessert I got an Oreo milkshake. And my friends and I came back to our house to go swimming, watch a scary movie, prank call stores, and have 2nd dessert which was ice cream cake. And finally, we went to bed.

My Favorite Age!

If I could be any age I would be seventeen. This is because I would have hit puberty and max height already. I would also be at my peak athleticism, so I would be great at sports (I already am great bat sports). I would also choose this age because I would be able to drive and not be considered a legal adult so I wouldn’t have to pay bills and taxes and stuff like that. Finally I would be old enough to have a girlfriend, and I would be old enough to work at most places to earn money. To sum up what has been stated, being seventeen forever wouldn’t be so bad.

Tackle Football

This important chapter of my life begins in 2023 in 7th grade. I’m playing on a team called Tustin Cobras, the people on my team are nice and really big and tall. I love it because I am good, teammates are nice, and I’m important to the team. This is because I’m the starter kicker for PAT aka (field goal or extra point), and I’m the backup kicker the kickoff. Since I’m the 2nd smallest kid on my team and almost every kid is faster than me, during practice when we do tackling drills it’s harder for me to make a tackle and run through tackles. But in the end, I’m friends with every person on the team and I’m a very humorous and friendly person and they love it! As you can see, Tackle Football is going great!

“RAD READING-SEPTEMBER”

For this month, I read Lawn Boy by Gary Paulsen. This story is about a boy on summer break wanting an inner tube. But he didn’t know how he was going to get the money. Then, his grandma gives him a lawn mower for his birthday. He starts mowing lawns for money, then meets a guy named Arnold. Arnold helped Lawn Boy earn extra money by buying Lawn Boy stocks.

I recommend reading this book because it’s exciting to learn about the stock markets and how to make extra money in the summer. For example, Lawn Boy wants to make money over the summer to get an inner tube. He then makes a lawn mowing business and earns a lot of money over the summer.

My favorite character is Lawn Boy. Lawn Boy is my favorite character because he inspires me to try new things even if it’s rough during the beginning. A quote that proves this inspiration is “I didn’t want to mow lawns because it was difficult and time consuming, but once I’d done it for a while, it felt easier than ever and I made a lot of money out of it!” This quote proves that sometimes trying new things could be rough at the beginning but could pay off in the end.

My favorite quote from Lawn Boy is,“I didn’t want to mow lawns because it was difficult and time consuming, but once I’d done it for a while, it felt easier than ever and I made a lot of money out of it!” This is my favorite quote because it inspires me that sometimes trying new things could be rough at the beginning but could pay off in the end. For this reason, this is my favorite quote because it made me be inspired to try new, difficult things.
